Um Projeto de Lei (PL) foi apresentado na Câmara Municipal de Belo Horizonte (BH) com o objetivo de impor maior transparência à gestão e operação do sistema de transporte coletivo por ônibus.
O PL propõe que a Prefeitura de BH divulgue informações sobre a operação do sistema, como quantidade de viagens programadas e realizadas, quilometragem percorrida, atrasos e número de passageiros.
Além disso, o projeto também exige a divulgação das receitas e despesas do sistema, incluindo detalhes sobre valores arrecadados nas catracas, subsídios e transferências governamentais, bem como gastos das empresas com folha de pagamento, manutenção da frota, combustíveis e impostos.
Serão debatidas propostas relacionadas à qualificação das políticas para pessoas em situação de rua, proteção dos ecossistemas urbanos, direitos das pessoas com deficiência e proteção dos animais.
Diversas emendas foram propostas para o PL em discussão, como a retirada da obrigatoriedade de divulgação de dados sobre receitas e despesas das empresas de transporte e a inclusão da publicação mensal de comprovação do uso de subsídios para a manutenção dos serviços de transporte.
Outros projetos estão em debate, como aquele que busca regular as políticas públicas para a população em situação de rua, garantindo atendimento humanizado e reinserção social, o projeto que prevê incentivos para a preservação dos ecossistemas urbanos e o projeto que propõe a cobrança fracionada da Taxa de Fiscalização de Localização e Funcionamento.
