O governo de Minas Gerais aprovou preliminarmente a alteração do projeto da Linha 2 do metrô de Belo Horizonte, permitindo a construção de uma “via singela” nos últimos 2 km do trajeto, entre as estações Ferrugem e Barreiro. A modificação, necessária para um acordo com a MRS Logística, que possui um pátio operacional na área, foi enviada à Secretaria de Estado de Infraestrutura, Mobilidade e Parcerias (Seinfra) no início de junho pela concessionária Metrô BH e a MRS Logística.

Entendimento com a MRS Logística

A “linha singela” refere-se a uma única linha férrea, onde os trens circulam nos dois sentidos em momentos alternados. Esta mudança foi necessária para atender a uma exigência do Tribunal de Contas da União (TCU) que demandava uma solução viável para a implantação da Estação Barreiro sem comprometer as operações da MRS Logística.

Próximos passos e desafios

Parte da Linha 1 já existente no Pátio Barreiro será destinada à nova via simples da Linha 2. A Seinfra informou que a concessionária não lucrará com esta solução e que o estado será desonerado em valor a ser definido. A aprovação preliminar exige que a Metrô BH continue os estudos e apresente as simulações necessárias para cumprir o contrato.

Atraso no início das obras

O início das obras foi adiado pela terceira vez, com a previsão inicial de início em maio, posteriormente alterada para setembro. A Metrô BH afirmou que as obras começarão ainda em 2024, após a obtenção da licença ambiental, e que as “negociações” são o próximo passo. A construção exigirá a desocupação de cerca de 300 imóveis na região, edificações que foram construídas irregularmente segundo a empresa.

Falta de diálogo e críticas

A presidente do Sindicato dos Metroviários de Minas Gerais, Alda Fernandes, criticou a falta de diálogo entre a concessionária e a população, apontando a ausência de audiência pública e detalhes sobre a desapropriação dos imóveis. Ela também destacou que a aprovação da via singela pode atrasar viagens e inviabilizar futuras expansões além do Barreiro.

Aumento na tarifa do metrô

Desde segunda-feira, 1º de julho, a tarifa do metrô de BH aumentou de R$ 5,30 para R$ 5,50, um reajuste de 3,77% referente ao período entre março de 2023 e março de 2024. Este é o segundo aumento em um ano, totalizando um acréscimo de R$ 1 na passagem, que representa 22,22% no período de um ano. Desde março de 2019, o valor da passagem aumentou 205%.

Modernização da Linha 1

As obras de modernização e ampliação da Linha 1 do metrô de BH estão previstas para se estender até 2026. A reforma das estações Eldorado, Cidade Industrial, Vila Oeste, Gameleira, Calafate, Carlos Prates, Lagoinha, Central, Santa Efigênia e Vilarinho deve ser concluída até o final de 2025. As estações Santa Tereza, Horto, Santa Inês, José Cândido, Minas Shopping, São Gabriel, Primeiro de Maio, Waldomiro Lobo e Floramar serão revitalizadas nos próximos dois anos, e a estação Novo Eldorado será implantada.
