A Prefeitura de Uberlândia está empenhada na expansão da malha cicloviária da cidade e deu início à fase de concretagem da ciclovia na Avenida Aspirante Mega.
Essa ciclovia faz parte de um projeto maior de 14 km que beneficiará o setor oeste da cidade.
A obra é parte da segunda fase de ampliação das ciclovias em Uberlândia, com a ordem de serviço assinada pelo prefeito Odelmo Leão em maio.
Até o momento, já foram aplicados 4.540 m² de pavimento de concreto em um trecho de 1,65 km.
A empresa licitada Sigma Engenharia e Construção Ltda é responsável pela execução do projeto, que está sendo supervisionado pela Secretaria Municipal de Obras.
A ciclovia da Avenida Aspirante Mega terá ao todo 3,3 km.
Além da concretagem, está ocorrendo o serviço de terraplanagem no encontro da avenida com a Rua José Marcelino de Sales.
Após a conclusão das duas frentes na extensão planejada para a ciclovia, será feita a sinalização vertical e horizontal da estrutura.
Em seguida, a construção seguirá para trechos das avenidas Rio Mississipi, Imbaúba e dos Mognos.
Depois, os trabalhos continuarão na Avenida Getúlio Vargas e na Rua Cel. Tobias Junqueira e, por fim, na Avenida Paulo Firmino.
Essa iniciativa visa aprimorar a mobilidade urbana da cidade, promovendo meios de transporte sustentáveis e seguros para os cidadãos.
A ciclovia possibilitará a integração de mais pessoas à prática do ciclismo como meio de locomoção, além de contribuir para a redução do tráfego de veículos e a melhoria da qualidade de vida na região.
