O Departamento de Edificações e Estradas de Rodagem de Minas Gerais (DER-MG) reiniciou, na segunda-feira (6/2), em caráter educativo até o dia 13/2, a pesagem de veículos de cargas e ônibus em mais quatro rodovias mineiras. As praças de pesagem passam a operar em definitivo a partir da zero hora do dia 14/2.
As balanças, que vão funcionar 24 horas por dia, ficam no km 56,6 da MG-170, em Arcos, e no km 5,8 da MG-439, em Córrego Fundo, na região Oeste do estado. Na região Central de Minas, os equipamentos estão em operação no km 136 da MG-164, em Bom Despacho, e no km 14,5 da MG-420, em Pompéu.
Com as novas praças, o Governo do Estado passa a ter 11 pontos em operação na malha rodoviária sob sua responsabilidade, conforme tabela a seguir.
À medida que os estudos e as obras evoluírem, novos pontos passarão a ser monitorados no estado.
Conservação e segurança
A reativação das balanças é resultado de um esforço do Governo de Minas para garantir a conservação do pavimento das rodovias estaduais que, em muitas regiões, já receberam obras do Provias. A expectativa é que estejam em operação aproximadamente 30 praças ainda no primeiro semestre.
A operação das Praças de Pesagem visa aumentar a segurança no trânsito e diminuir os danos ao pavimento causados por veículos trafegando com excesso de carga. Dessa forma, caminhões, tratores, ônibus e demais veículos pesados passam a ser fiscalizados para que trafeguem dentro dos limites de peso estabelecidos pela legislação.
Cabe destacar que a fiscalização do peso das cargas transportadas nas rodovias mineiras sob a jurisdição do DER-MG contribui para a aumentar a durabilidade do pavimento asfáltico nas estradas mineiras, garantindo melhor trafegabilidade e segurança aos usuários.
O condutor que não entrar no posto de pesagem, conforme determina a legislação, comete infração grave, sujeita a multa e perda de pontos na Carteira de Habilitação.
Centro de Controle Operacional
Para garantir mais transparência no processo de fiscalização e mais segurança para os operadores nas praças de pesagem, o DER-MG está montando um Centro de Controle Operacional na sede da instituição, em Belo Horizonte, para acompanhar, por meio de videomonitoramento, todos os pontos de pesagens 24 horas por dia. Os primeiros testes devem acontecer em março deste ano.
