O Aeroporto Brigadeiro Antônio Cabral, em Divinópolis, foi oficialmente transferido para a administração da Infraero, conforme formalizado pela portaria nº 176, de 7 de maio de 2024, publicada em 20 de maio no Diário Oficial da União. Anteriormente, a Infraero já geria o terminal através de um contrato firmado com a Prefeitura de Divinópolis desde 2019. O presidente em exercício da Infraero, Eduardo Gonzaga da Silva, ressaltou que a empresa continuará aplicando sua expertise na administração de aeroportos para desenvolver a aviação regional no terminal de Divinópolis.
A Infraero está em um processo de reposicionamento de mercado com foco nos aeroportos regionais e, até o momento, recebeu a outorga de vários outros terminais, incluindo Mossoró (RN), Vale do Aço (MG), Flores (AM), Governador Valadares (MG), Sorriso (MT), Itaperuna (RJ), Paranavaí (PR), Ariquemes (RO), além de Divinópolis (MG). Novas transferências estão previstas conforme a política de desenvolvimento da aviação civil do Ministério de Portos e Aeroportos.
Com 50 anos de experiência, a Infraero é reconhecida por sua responsabilidade cultural e por investir em projetos sociais, educativos e ambientais. Atualmente, administra 29 aeroportos no Brasil e atua na execução de políticas públicas para a aviação civil, oferecendo uma gama completa de serviços que inclui engenharia, manutenção, gestão, operação, treinamento técnico e desenvolvimento de soluções digitais.
