A Prefeitura de Belo Horizonte está recuperando abrigos para passageiros de ônibus e instalando novos. As demandas são identificadas pelas vistorias realizadas pelas equipes técnicas e também pelas indicações da comunidade. Só em 2022, foram implantados 251 novos abrigos e 123 foram reformados. Os trabalhos são feitos para recompor o equipamento dos desgastes naturais do sol e da chuva e das avarias ocasionadas por acidentes ou vandalismo.
Dentre os serviços de manutenção, uma melhoria que vem contribuindo para maior durabilidade desses equipamentos urbanos é a substituição do policarbonato, material usado na cobertura, por chapas metálicas. Desde que a troca foi iniciada, em 2018, até agora, 650 abrigos já receberam a nova cobertura. O diretor de Sistema Viário da BHTrans, José Carlos Mendanha Ladeira, detalha os benefícios da substituição. “O policarbonato tem um custo maior de manutenção, pois desgasta mais rapidamente com o sol e a chuva, exigindo uma troca a cada dois ou três anos, acumula mais sujeiras e é mais suscetível a vandalismos. Já a chapa metálica dura até 10 anos, a recuperação é mais barata e rápida e a depredação praticamente zerou”.
Com a redução das depredações, os reparos atualmente são decorrentes dos desgastes naturais, de abalroamentos pelos ônibus ou veículos particulares. Com isso, em muitas situações, o abrigo não precisa ser retirado para a recuperação e o conserto é feito no local, trazendo mais agilidade na manutenção e conforto para os usuários de ônibus.
Abrigos em Belo Horizonte
Os abrigos são instalados, prioritariamente, em pontos de embarque, já que se trata do momento em que as pessoas normalmente aguardam a chegada do ônibus. Nos pontos típicos de desembarque não há a necessidade do abrigo, pois os usuários saem do ônibus e imediatamente vão para seu destino final.
Em Belo Horizonte há aproximadamente 9.600 pontos de embarque e desembarque de usuários do transporte coletivo, metade deles é um ponto de desembarque. Em cerca de 3 mil pontos há abrigos para os passageiros. No total, são 3.067 abrigos instalados na cidade, sendo 922 para calçadas maiores, largura mínima de 4 metros e 2.145 para calçadas mais estreitas.
População pode pedir instalação ou reforma de abrigo
Para realizar esse trabalho, a participação popular é fundamental, indicando locais e os dispositivos com necessidades de manutenção. A comunidade pode contribuir neste processo por meio do Portal de Serviços. Por esse canal, foram feitas 345 solicitações de manutenção e implantação em ponto de ônibus, em 2022.
