Na audiência pública da Comissão de Mobilidade Urbana, Indústria, Comércio e Serviços, vereadores de Belo Horizonte discutiram um projeto de lei que prevê subsídios para o sistema de transporte público da cidade.
O projeto, proposto pelo Executivo, prevê um subsídio de R$ 476 milhões, mas há emendas que propõem aumentar esse valor para R$ 512,8 milhões.
As emendas também incluem medidas como a redução do preço das passagens, tarifa zero para vilas e favelas, passe livre para estudantes e pessoas em tratamento de saúde, e auxílio transporte para famílias vulneráveis e mulheres vítimas de violência.
Alguns vereadores manifestaram preocupações em relação ao projeto, apontando inconsistências no texto e incertezas quanto aos impactos financeiros futuros.
Representantes das empresas de transporte argumentaram que o modelo atual está exaurido e que o subsídio é necessário para garantir a sustentabilidade do sistema.
O superintendente de Mobilidade Urbana de Belo Horizonte também defendeu o subsídio como a melhor alternativa para o transporte público na cidade.
No entanto, os vereadores destacaram a importância de garantir melhorias na qualidade do serviço, visando atender às necessidades da população.
A defesa dos direitos dos usuários e a busca por condições dignas de locomoção foram ressaltadas pelos parlamentares e por representantes da Associação dos Usuários do Transporte Coletivo de Belo Horizonte.
